Job Description
We are hiring a full time (32+ hours) Bridal Sales Consultant! This position has an hourly rate plus commission on sales and customers have the option to tip consultants as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A bridal consultant will possess exceptional customer focused sales skills and a passion for working with customers to ensure their perfect bridal experience. This position will serve all types of bridal attire and accessories for all members of a bridal party and all duties that accompany the sales process. A bridal consultant will be a support team member for management and perform various tasks essential to business operations.
· Greet all customers promptly, warmly with a smile.
· Perform all opening and closing duties.
· Answer phones, return messages and make appointments.
· Promote and represent Weddings by Design & The Tux Shop, our products & services verbally and through your actions.
· Maintain a tidy store appearance including cleaning of sales floor and bathrooms.
· Work directly with brides and grooms to sell wedding attire and accessories.
· Responsible to attend all trainings, meetings, read company emails each shift.
· Learn and properly utilize our computer software to assist with sales and maintaining accurate records.
· Take body measurements properly and record them.
· Work/attend bridal fairs, events, and occasionally private appointments.
· Perform project-oriented tasks when given/asked.
· Steam merchandise for stock and customer pickup.
· Consistently achieve personal sales goals and work to achieve broader team oriented/store goals.
· Responsible for maintaining the online promotion and follow up for the off the rack sale gown efforts.
· Assist with social media as directed.
· Will maintain a professional personal appearance daily in compliance with the employee handbook.
· Perform daily correspondence with prospective, current & past customers to continue to develop and strengthen relationships.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED is required, and retail experience strongly preferred.
· Strong sales aptitude with the ability to prospect and close retail sales.
· Ability to build relationships with customers and solve problems quickly and efficiently should conflict arise.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be both professional and friendly.
· Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion within parameters of instructions given.
Physical and other Requirements:
· Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal and state standards and our employee handbook.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work a full shift with limited time to sit.
· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
